Welcome to the official website of Eng. Dr. Christopher Ebal—a platform created to document, share and preserve the experiences, ideas and lessons gathered over a distinguished career in engineering, public service, institutional leadership and project management. For more than three decades, Dr. Ebal has built a career at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, leadership and public-sector transformation. His professional journey has included significant service in the Uganda Judiciary, where he served as Commissioner for Engineering and Technical Services, as well as leadership of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), where he served as Board Chair. His career has provided him with a front-row view of some of the opportunities and challenges involved in building institutions that serve the public. His story is captured in two memoirs that he wrote: Transformative Leadership in Public Service: The Case of National Water and Sewerage Corporation, Uganda, 2013–2020 and From the Corridors of the Uganda Judiciary: My Journey From 1998–2024: A Memoir. These publications are more than accounts of a professional career; they are an attempt to preserve institutional memory, leadership lessons, professional knowledge and personal experiences for those who will come after him. On this site, you will find his publications, reflections, articles, events and opportunities to engage with his work. It is intended to be a resource for public servants, engineers, leaders, professionals, students, researchers and anyone interested in Uganda’s institutional development and the lessons of a life dedicated to service. Welcome. Explore his journey, discover his books, engage with his ideas—and become part of the conversation about leadership, public service and legacy.

“Our greatest legacy may not be the positions we held, but the knowledge we shared, the people we empowered and the institutions we left stronger than we found them.” – Christopher Ebal
